POSITION TITLE: SCHOOL LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN) CONTRACT YEAR: 10 – MONTH SALARY: LPN SCALE COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE (Based on the FY27 Salary Scale ) DEPARTMENT: J.S. RUSSELL MIDDLE SCHOOL/DIVISION START DATE: AUGUST 1 Job Description: The candidate for this position will support student success by providing health care through assessment, intervention, and follow-up for all children within the school setting. The school nurse addresses the physical, mental, emotional, and social health needs of students and supports their achievement in the learning process. The candidate for this role will work to advance programs that support the well-being, academic success, and lifelong achievement and health of students. The candidate will guide and support administration in protocols and education awareness of keeping children healthy, safe, in school, and ready to learn as their top priority for both healthcare and educational systems, and also performing other duties as assigned. Direct Accountability and Report: Works under the supervision of the Director of Pupil Personnel who is responsible for carrying out the guidance and direction for the school division. An annual evaluation will be based upon the job description, district and personal goals and objectives specific to the school or the position, student achievement data, and the performance of the teacher. |
