Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of property operations, including leasing, rent collection, and tenant relations to maximize occupancy and revenue.
- Manage lease agreements, renewals, and terminations while ensuring compliance with legal standards such as Landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations.
- Coordinate property maintenance and facilities management activities to ensure properties are well-maintained, safe, and compliant with all codes.
- Utilize property management software such as Yardi or OneSite for data entry, rent processing, reporting, and record keeping.
- Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure adherence to safety standards; oversee vendor relationships for repairs and upgrades.
- Handle conflict resolution with tenants or vendors professionally while maintaining positive customer service relationships.
- Administer Section 8 housing programs and LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) compliance requirements effectively.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers to secure favorable terms while maintaining quality standards.
- Maintain accurate filing systems for legal documents, lease agreements, maintenance records, and correspondence.
- Engage in upselling opportunities by promoting additional services or amenities that enhance tenant satisfaction.
- Support leasing efforts through sales techniques, phone etiquette, and customer relationship management to attract prospective tenants.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles with a strong understanding of property leasing processes.
- Proficiency in property management software such as Yardi or OneSite.
- Strong customer service skills combined with effective conflict management and negotiation abilities.
- Legal administrative experience related to contracts, filing systems, and compliance documentation.
- Office experience including data entry, filing, phone etiquette, and administrative support functions.
- Familiarity with facilities management practices including property maintenance coordination and vendor oversight.
- Excellent communication skills with a professional demeanor suited for customer relationship management.
