Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, edging, and fertilizing to keep outdoor areas vibrant and healthy
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery such as excavators and snow plows safely and efficiently for various landscaping projects
- Identify plants, trees, shrubs, and pests to support healthy growth and effective pest management strategies
- Execute hardscape projects such as patio installation, walkway construction, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures
- Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, planting, and removal to promote safety and aesthetics
- Maintain equipment through regular inspections and repairs to ensure reliable performance during all seasons
Experience
- Proven experience in landscaping or groundskeeping with a strong understanding of horticulture principles
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating landscaping machinery like mowers, excavators, and irrigation systems
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices including lawn care, gardening, and snow plowing
- Ability to identify various plants and trees accurately for proper care and maintenance
- Construction experience preferred for hardscape installation projects
- Knowledge of safety protocols when handling power tools, heavy machinery.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while performing physically demanding tasks
