J&RS Design Build is looking for experienced residential carpenters to join several of our crews.
We're looking for someone who can work alongside a lead carpenter, take direction, work independently when needed, and help keep the project moving.
You don't need to be ready to run the job.
You do need to know your way around a jobsite, take pride in your work, work hard, and bring a good attitude every day.
What We're Looking For
- 3 years of residential construction or carpentry experience
- Comfortable with common carpentry tools and construction methods
- Dependable and hard working
- Takes pride in quality workmanship
- Able to work independently and as part of a crew
- Willing to learn and take feedback
- Good attitude with coworkers and customers, we are working in people's personal spaces
- Wants to build a long-term career in the trades
This is a hands-on carpenter position, not a foreman role.
You'll work beside experienced builders on remodeling, additions, exterior projects, and new construction throughout the Duluth area.
For the right person, there's plenty of room to grow.
We want to develop carpenters who eventually become lead carpenters, project leaders, and builders—but first, we want people who are committed to mastering the craft.
