What are the responsibilities and job description for the Semi-Local CDL-A Driver | Dedicated Lane position at J Rose Logistics?
Position: Local & Regional Truck Driver (Hazmat Endorsement Required within 90 Days – reimbursement provided)
Requirements:
- at least 3 months Class A CDL experience within the last 3 years
- must live within 50 miles of Pleasant Prairie
Pay:
- 0.63 to 0.75 CPM
- $3000 sign on bonus
- Breakdown $25/hr after 2 hours up to $300 for the day depending on the breakdown type
- Training is usually 3 days and driver will earn mileage and stop pay as above while training.
- Hourly/Safety pay - $20/hr
- Backhauls will pay $30 when picking up a backhaul at a vendor
- Additional Compensation:
- $100/week to help cover unexpected situations
Position Details:
- Run transfers between distribution centers in WI, IN, and MI
- Deliver to 40 grocery stores across Northern IL, IN, WI, and MI
- Pickup backhauls returning to Pleasant Prairie
- Outbound store shipments are drop-and-hook from DCs to delivery locations
- Backhauls are primarily drop-and-hook (approx. 85%), with occasional live loads
- No-touch freight; drivers are not responsible for freight handling
- Drivers scheduled from Chicago should verify commute feasibility
Shift Details:
- - Schedule: Fri-Tues
- Start Time: 0000 (12:00 AM/Midnight)
- Drivers need to expect to stay out an average of 1-2 nights each week
- Drivers get 7 paid days off in their first year (7 PTO days). After 1st year, drivers get 10 paid days off (10 PTO days)
Salary : $84,000 - $90,000
