Position Overview
We are hiring CDL-A drivers for a local intermodal position based out of the Toledo, OH area. This role offers daily home time, consistent freight, and steady work on a 24/7 account with a mix of rail yard and customer deliveries.
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A license with 3 months recent Class A Experience
- Must meet all DOT safety and employment requirements
- Ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 60 days of hire (cost reimbursed with receipt)
Job Details
- Home Time: Home daily
- Freight Type: No-touch freight
- Equipment: Hauling 53’ containers (automatic trucks available)
- Operation: 24/7 account
- Primary Locations:
- Toledo, OH (NS Rail Yard)
- North Baltimore, OH (BNSF/CSX)
- Running Area:
- Within a 250-mile radius
- Includes Toledo, Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati markets
- Additional freight into Michigan and occasional Canada runs
- Freight: General commodities, including food-grade products (pork and pork derivatives make up a portion of freight)
- Shift: Thursday - Monday
• Start time: 1800
• Shift: Drivers could work a 12-hour day - The Fleet average is 10 hours.
Additional Pay Opportunities
- Hazmat Loads: $25 per load
- Canada Loads (optional): $75 per round trip
- $38 per drop/hook with an average of 15-20 drops per week
• $51 live load/unload
• $25 per Hazmat load - this is on top of the load pay
• $20 per hour rail delay after 1-hour, mechanical breakdown immediately, waiting on truck immediately.
• $20 per hour Safety Training
• Training: Drivers train for up to 2 weeks after onboarding and are paid $20 per hour. This is to review freight, rail operations, computer systems, safety procedures, etc.

- 24/7 operation with consistent freight availability
- Mix of rail yard and customer deliveries
- Slip seating required
- No passengers or pets permitted
