J. Robert’s Menswear of Elkhorn is seeking a Tailor / Seamstress to join our team. This role focuses on garment alterations for menswear and formalwear, including suits, dress pants, shirts, and special occasion attire. We are willing to train the right candidate who is detail-oriented, dependable, and eager to learn.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic to advanced garment alterations (hemming, waist adjustments, sleeves, tapering, etc.)
- Measure garments and ensure proper fit
- Alter menswear and formalwear to company quality standards
- Maintain an organized and clean tailoring workspace
- Communicate with staff regarding timelines and special requests
- Assist with pressing and garment preparation as needed
Qualifications
- Interest in sewing, tailoring, or garment construction
- Strong attention to detail and hand–eye coordination
- Dependable, punctual, and patient with learning new skills
- Ability to follow instructions and quality standards
- Comfortable working independently and managing time effectively
Preferred (Not Required)
- Tailoring or seamstress experience
- Ability to use industrial or home sewing machines
- Experience with menswear or formalwear
Training & Growth
