Our client is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of complex building electrical systems across a diverse portfolio of public and private sector projects. This role is ideal for a licensed Professional Engineer who enjoys technical leadership, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating across disciplines to deliver high-quality, code-compliant designs from concept through construction.The position offers exposure to a wide range of project types and the opportunity to work within a collaborative, growth-oriented engineering environment.ResponsibilitiesLead the design of electrical systems from conceptual planning through construction documentationDevelop and evaluate electrical solutions using sound engineering judgment and creative problem-solvingPerform detailed electrical analyses and calculations to support design decisionsCoordinate closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and field teams to maintain design intent throughout constructionReview and apply applicable local, state, and federal codes and standardsProvide technical oversight and mentorship to junior engineers and designersSupport quality control reviews and ensure consistency with internal design standardsManage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting schedule and budget expectationsParticipate in construction administration activities, including responding to RFIs and reviewing submittalsRequirementsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited programMinimum of 5 years of professional experience in building electrical designActive Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state where the role is basedStrong knowledge of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting and controls, grounding/bonding, fire alarm, and low-voltage systemsProficiency with AutoCAD and RevitExperience with power system analysis software and lighting calculation toolsAbility to independently manage design efforts with minimal supervisionStrong communication, coordination, and organizational skillsAbility to manage deadline-driven workloads across multiple projectsHealthcare, federal, or mission-critical project experience is a plus, but not required.Why Join Our ClientThis opportunity offers the chance to build a long-term career with a nationally active engineering firm that values technical excellence, collaboration, and professional growth.
