Job Title: Warehouse Manager

This strategic leadership role oversees a high-volume distribution center at their divisional office in Tully, NY. You will lead impactful teams and enhance processes in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This is a unique opportunity to join the fastest-growing retailer in the US at a senior level.

How you’ll add value:

Staffing and Workforce Management:

• Assess, establish, and ensure appropriate warehouse staffing levels.
• Recruit, select, promote, manage, develop, and terminate Warehouse Associates and Warehouse Shift Supervisors to maintain a motivated and professional workforce.

Operational Management:

• Develop and implement action plans to improve operating results.
• Supervise the activities of warehouse personnel, ensuring day-to-day operational effectiveness and efficiency.

Communication and Team Development:

• Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to the team.
• Model company strategy and core values to foster teamwork and a sense of membership among employees.

Partner and Vendor Management:

• Manage relationships with on-site partner companies and vendors.
• Provide feedback and resolve issues to ensure acceptable service standards and a desirable working environment.

Policy and Procedure Development:

• Develop and recommend changes to improve policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with company guidelines, as well as federal, state, and local regulations.

Monitoring and Reporting:

• Monitor the inspection of inbound and outbound deliveries, verifying proper receipt of products.
• Review and analyze the competitive landscape and keep leadership informed of the company's competitive position.

Performance Management:

• Oversee and manage the performance of direct reports in training, development, motivation, retention, and discipline.
• Address complaints promptly and appropriately across all warehouse departments and shifts.

Financial Management:

• Oversee the achievement of warehouse controllable expenses, ensuring results are within expectations.
• Maximize inventory goals and promote a safe work environment to minimize turnover and increase efficiency.

Facility Management:

• Supervise the effective use of the warehouse facility to ensure maximum utilization of space and equipment.
• Ensure conditions, equipment, and employee performance are monitored to maintain a safe environment.

Collaboration and Information Sharing:

• Work cooperatively with peers and divisional departments to communicate relevant information in a timely and effective manner.
• Coordinate with direct reports in the recruitment and interviewing of applicants, and confer regarding personnel decisions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 years of in warehouse management, including hands-on experience in inventory control, order processing, and logistics.
• Must have experience “running your own building”
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS), excel, and other relevant software (High Jump and Power BI experience is a big PLUS)!
• Experience in creating and overseeing P&Ls and ensuring branch goals are achieved.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehousing.
