The Procurement Associate will deliver on all aspects of the purchase transaction including proper vendor selection, sourcing accurate and prompt transaction processing as well as problem resolution for select procurement activities. He/She will also resolve transactional vendor quality complaints and measures key supplier performance metrics around pricing, delivery and quality. This position will provide coverage for the Pasco Production Scheduler as needed.
- Responsible for all proper vendor selection, sourcing, accurate and prompt transaction processing as well as problem resolution.
- Responsible for all aspects of the purchase transaction including conversion of requisitions to PO, expediting of critical purchases, managing approved vendor lists and ensuring pricing accuracy.
- Monitors key supplier performance metrics
- Provides support for suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding use of ERP systems and procurement work flows to expedite purchasing of goods and services.
- Invoice reconciliation
- Resolves transactional vendor quality complaints.
- Maintain inventory levels.
- Provide basic edits and communications for coverage of the Pasco Production Scheduler.
- Other tasks as assigned by plant management.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Associates degree preferred in business management or office management.
- 2 years related experience and/or training
- Good knowledge of computer systems.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Purchasing, Planning, Inventory &/or Warehousing
- Good Written communication skills
- MS Office
- Time management skills
- Self motivation and ability to work independently.
