Position Overview
The Registered Pharmacist will play a key role in daily pharmacy operations, patient counseling,medication verification, and ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a steady workflow, a supportive team, and meaningful interactions with patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately verify, dispense, and document prescription medications
- Provide patient counseling on medications, therapy plans, and over‑the‑counter products
- Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
- Oversee pharmacy technicians and support staff to ensure safe, efficient workflow
- Perform medication therapy management (MTM) and immunization services (if certified)
- Build and maintain positive relationships with patients, providers, and the community
- Assist with inventory management, ordering, and controlled substance oversight
- Contribute to a clean, organized, and professional pharmacy environment
Qualifications
- Active Kentucky Registered Pharmacist (RPh or PharmD) license in good standing
- Strong communication and patient‑interaction skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work collaboratively with a small, supportive team
- Immunization certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Previous retail or community pharmacy experience is a plus, but not required
