Leave of Absence Manager - $140k-$160k (DOE) - DTLA
Global law firm is seeking a Leave of Absence Manager to administer the firm’s U.S. leave of absence programs.
In addition to maintaining current systems and processes, the firm is excited to bring on an experienced administrator to truly innovate the department’s procedures!
Responsibilities:
- Administer U.S. leave of absence programs, including FMLA, CFRA, short‑term and long‑term disability, parental leave, family leave, Workers’ Compensation, and other statutory or firm‑sponsored leaves
- Advise company on leave entitlements and policies
- Monitor leave balances and maintain accurate tracking
- Evaluate current leave processes and provide strategic support for improvements
- Help oversee relationship with external benefits brokers
- Coordinate state and federal leave programs
- Liaise with the firm’s workers’ compensation carrier
- Provide continuous mentorship to team
- Stay current on legislative changes and industry best practices
5 years of leave management experience is required for the role. Ideally, applicants will have law firm / professional services experience knowledge of Unum Total Leave or similar systems.
This role will operate on a hybrid schedule and this individual will be in-office in DTLA 3 days a week.
