J Polep Distribution Services, a division of NCD, would like you to join our dedicated team as a Janitor within our Maintenance Department. This position is a day shift position, working Monday through Friday. J Polep has been servicing the New England area and beyond for over 120 years. This position is located in Chicopee, MA and reports to the Manager of Maintenance and is part of a supportive and energetic team. Responsibilities can include general cleaning of a building and keeping it maintained and in good condition.
Responsibilities:
- General cleaning of the building and keeping it maintained and in good condition.
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
- Disposing of trash and emptying trash receptacles.
- Clean and stock restrooms.
- Clean up spills with appropriate equipment.
- Maintaining inventory of cleaning agents and equipment
- Perform minor repairs.
- Notify supervisors or managers of major repairs.

Requirements:
- Experience as custodian, janitor or in a similar role
- Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances
- Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components
- Familiarity with basic landscaping and handyman practices
- Attention to detail and conscientiousness.
- Very good physical condition and strength
- High school diploma is preferred but not required.
