Title: CNC Lathe Machinist
We are hiring CNC Lathe talent at all levels, from entry-level operators to advanced machinists and leads. Actual level will be determined based on experience, technical knowledge, and demonstrated skills.
What You’ll Do

Run CNC lathes (Fanuc controls)

Perform setups (basic to full, depending on level)
-
Run live tooling and turning centers with milling (for experienced machinists)

Adjust chuck jaws, set tools, touch off tools
-
Cut parts to spec and complete inspection documents
-
Measure parts using micrometers, calipers, depth gauges
-
Read and interpret blueprints (basic GD&T required)

Communicate with Quality when needed
-
Load tools, identify common inserts (CNMG, DNMG, VNMG, etc.)

Maintain a clean machine and work area
-
Safely operate overhead crane (training provided)
What You Should Know

Fanuc control navigation

Basic to advanced G & M codes (depending on level)

Adjusting offsets

Thread basics & pitch calculation
-
Material knowledge (more advanced for higher levels)

Ability to copy, move, or edit program processes
Higher-Level Expectations (Based on Experience)

Full setups including steady rests, live centers

Cutting/modifying chuck jaws

Editing and adjusting programs

Troubleshooting and solving machining issues

Improving cycle times and machining processes

Training lower-level operators

Strong shop safety knowledge
