What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dock Worker/Warehouse Part Time position at J.P. Express Service, Inc?
Job Purpose:
To ensure that all merchandise/cargo has been loaded properly onto the carrier for delivery to our customer.
Essential Job Functions:
· Loading/unloading commercial trailers of all sizes and straight trucks by utilizing equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks & forklifts
· Willingness to obtain certification for safely operations of a forklift and other equipment. JP will provide training.
· Verify documentation and condition of freight to assure quality standards are achieved
· Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
· Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 150 pounds
· Maintain a clean and safe work environment
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· Must have forklift experience
· Willing to train on Electric Jack and Dock Handling Equipment
