Dispatch Associate

Job Purpose: Responsible for assisting drivers with any delivery issues communicating via 2-way radio or telephone. In addition, handling of customer service communications.

Reports To: Terminal Manager

Essential Job Functions:

• Assisting Dispatchers with driver issues.
• Manage paperwork and scan bills and Bill of Ladings.
• Communicating with customers to resolve issues with deliveries
• Connect with drivers utilizing a 2-way radio to resolve issues coordinating with other dispatch personnel.
• Check in drivers upon the return to the terminal at the end of the day,
• Assist with data entry
• Inform drivers of the trailer number to acquire at the terminal.
• All other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to sit for long periods of time
• Must be able to use a keyboard and computer

Qualifications:

• Must be detailed oriented
• Ability to manage multiple tasks
• Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills
• Microsoft Excel experience preferred, AS400 experience a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be bilingual: Spanish and English
