We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to lead our accounting operations, enhance financial processes, and support strategic decision-making as we continue to grow.
Position Summary
The Controller oversees all accounting operations, ensures the accuracy and integrity of our financial data, maintains strong internal controls, and implements best practices to support our company’s continued growth and financial objectives. This role is both strategic and hands-on, requiring deep technical expertise and strong leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting functions, including AP, AR, payroll, GL, and financial reporting.
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth.
- Coordinate external audits and tax filings with outside partners.
- Implement process improvements and technology enhancements to streamline financial operations.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, providing insights and recommendations to drive business performance.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Support strategic planning, cash flow management, and financial modeling as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or MBA preferred.
- 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or management roles.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and corporate accounting principles.
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with financial analytics tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills
- Demonstrated success improving systems, processes, and reporting.
- Experience with Microsoft B.I.
- Experience with STORIS ERP/accounting system.
