J. Moraga Construction, Inc. is a family-owned construction company seeking dependable, safety-focused individuals to join our team. We are hiring for General Laborers / Equipment Operators / Underground Utility Locators. We are looking for motivated team members who are eager to contribute to current projects and grow with our company long term.

General Laborer / Equipment Operator / Locator Position

This position supports construction operations through site preparation, trenching, equipment operation, and underground utility work. The role is physically demanding and requires strong teamwork and safety awareness.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare job sites by clearing debris and setting up equipment
• Dig trenches, backfill, and compact soil
• Assist with installation of underground utilities and structures
• Operate construction tools and machinery
• Load and unload materials
• Maintain tools, trucks, and equipment
• Follow all company safety procedures

Requirements

• Construction experience preferred (not required)
• Equipment operation or underground utility locating experience preferred
• Valid California driver’s license (required)
• Ability to lift 50 lbs to waist, 20 lbs overhead, and climb stairs
• Ability to work in various weather conditions
• Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team
