Job description: We are seeking a qualified and experienced construction field superintendent to join our team. The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate sub-trades daily for field operations on your assigned project.
- Complete construction tasks on an as-needed basis to keep project on schedule; this includes door/hollow metal frame installation, door hardware, restroom hardware, minor drywall work, minor painting, light carpentry, and acoustical ceiling work to name a few.
- Coordinate inspections for assigned project with city/county inspectors and ensure the sub-trades are ready for said inspections
- Keep project on schedule that is provided by the Project Management team
- Maintain open communication with Project manager on job schedule and questions/issues that arise throughout the buildout/completion process.
Qualified applicants:
- Must be able to read and interpret construction documents
- Must be well spoken and have a professional appearance
- Must be proficient in the use of a smart phone, tablet, and/or laptop. Including Microsoft Office applications
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to multi-task
- Must be a forward thinker to help prevent or eliminate obstacles that may arise on the project with various trades
- Must be willing to travel and work different hours in coordination with project schedule. (some jobs will be nights/weekends)
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be willing to work in a team atmosphere
- Must have tools
Education:
- High School Diploma required
- College degree preferred, but not required
- Minimum of 3-5 years of related commercial construction experience
