Regional Sales Manager

Position Summary
JMI Covers is seeking a driven, relationship-focused sales professional to grow our market presence throughout an assigned multi-state territory. This position combines account management, consultative selling, and business development while serving grain elevators, feed mills, ethanol plants, cooperatives, and other agricultural customers. The successful candidate will manage existing relationships, develop new business opportunities, and consistently achieve sales and profitability goals.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow an assigned multi-state sales territory through strategic account planning.
- Maintain existing customer relationships while proactively pursuing new business.
- Generate leads through prospecting, networking, referrals, and industry events.
- Conduct customer visits, product demonstrations, and consultative sales presentations.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and close sales opportunities.
- Maintain accurate CRM records (Salesforce or equivalent), forecasts, and activity reports.
- Monitor market trends, competitive products, pricing, and customer needs.
- Work closely with operations, customer service, and production to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Represent the company at trade shows, association meetings, and industry conferences.
- Travel approximately 40–60% throughout the assigned territory, including overnight travel and attendance at industry events.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3–5 years of outside B2B sales experience; agriculture or industrial sales preferred.
- Experience working with grain elevators, feed mills, cooperatives, processors, or agribusiness customers is highly desirable.
- Experience managing a multi-state territory preferred.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively.
- Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently from a home office.

Physical Requirements
- Lift product samples/materials up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods during trade shows.
- Ability to drive an automobile for extended periods
- Ability to climb grain piles if needed
