Pipe Foreman

J. L. Wannamaker Construction Company is seeking an Pipe Foreman who manages underground utility construction projects, including  sewer, storm, and water systems. The foreman ensures crew safety, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance on a daily basis The foreman will provide leadership and technical guidance to ensure projects are completed punctually, within budgetary constraints, and to the highest quality standards.

Job Description: 

1. Comprehend plans, shop drawings, material specs, and installation procedures to ensure the safe and precise execution of the utilities therein.
2. Ensure all safety protocols and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) are worn by all employees.
3. Supervise, train, and motivate the crew to ensure they understand their roles, responsibilities, and growth. 
4. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily logs, timesheets, and material usage.
5. Comprehend and participate in planning the production schedule.
6. Commute to projects throughout the Northeast Florida service area.

Minimum Qualifications: 

1. Minimum 5 years experience as an Underground Utility Foreman.
2. Valid driver’s license.
3. OSHA 10-hour certification.
4. Foreman Half Crew

Preferred Qualifications: 

1. Minimum 10 years experience as an Underground Utility Foreman.
2. Valid driver’s license
3. OSHA 30-hour certification.
4. Proficient in laying sewer & storm systems at or below depths of 14’, including storm pipe up to 72” in diameter, setting lift station wet wells at or below depths of 25’, including assembling slide rails, pit boxes, trench boxes, and setting up multi-stage well-point systems.
5. Proficient in laying pressure pipe systems such as water, reuse, and forcemain.
6. Foreman Full Crew

Schedule:

1. Day shift
2. Monday to Friday, 4-10’s & 1-8, Weekends as needed
