Position Overview
J.L. Rothrock, Inc. is seeking a dependable and skilled Mobile Trailer Mechanic to perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on commercial trailers at customer locations. This field-service position requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform DOT inspections and preventive maintenance on commercial trailers.
- Diagnose and repair air brake systems, suspension, lighting, electrical systems, doors, tires, wheels, and structural trailer components.
- Operate and maintain a company-issued mobile service vehicle.
- Completely repair documentation and inspection reports accurately.
- Ensure all work complies with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
- Provide professional customer service while working at customer locations.
Qualifications
- Experience in trailer maintenance and repair preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally.
- Ability to work independently and safely in a mobile service environment.
- Knowledge of commercial trailer systems and preventive maintenance practices.
Compensation
- Full-time position. (40 Hours/Week)
- Schedule:Wednesday-Saturday
- pay range: $22.00–$24.00 per hour, depending on experience.
