Responsibilities
Assist with patient mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and ensure safe transfer and positioning of patients. Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, accurately documenting all findings in electronic health records (EHR) systems. Support medication administration under supervision, adhering strictly to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques to maintain patient safety. Provide personal care services such as bathing, grooming, dressing, catheter care, and assistance with activities of daily living.
Skills
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and vital signs measurement. Experience working with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, behavioral health needs, or pediatric patients. Proficiency in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Cerner or Clinicals for accurate documentation. Ability to demonstrate basic life support (BLS) skills and aseptic technique during patient interactions.Home & community care environments. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams while maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA standards.
