Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Yard Foreman at 3CK Utilities/J and L Backhoe to lead and oversee daily operations within our warehouse yard. This vital role involves maintaining the yard in Abilene Texas location. Also, unloading and loading material for contractors daily while ensuring safety compliance, coordinating logistics, and optimizing warehouse processes to maintain efficient materials handling and distribution. The Yard Foreman will serve as a key leader in fostering a productive, safe, and organized work environment that supports the J and L operational goals.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate yard activities, including shipping, receiving, and materials handling to ensure smooth workflow.
- Operate and oversee the use of material handling equipment such as forklifts, and other warehouse machinery in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in inspection of deliveries, shipping & receiving, and overall operations.
- Collaborate with logistics Superintendent teams to coordinate transportation schedules, optimize distribution center operations, and improve overall process flow.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to operate or oversee the operation of forklift and other heavy material handling equipment safely.
- Familiarity with lean management principles and process improvement techniques to streamline warehouse workflows.
- Ability to perform some heavy lifting regularly while maintaining safety standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and communication purposes.
- Forklift experience helpful but also can be learned.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
