Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Staff to join our team. Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Provide client awareness to ensure safety and well-being.
- Engage clients in social activities and recreational programs to promote mental stimulation and social interaction.
- Document client progress and report any changes in behavior or health status to the appropriate personnel.
- Implement Care Plans and support to clients in reaching goals.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, or direct support roles is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients.
- Ability to assist clients physically as needed while promoting independence.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others are essential traits for this role.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
