Job Summary
The mission of the Parts Technician is to provide support to all departments by ensuring the warehouse is clean, organized, and stocked. They inventory and maintain the use and repair of warehouse equipment and minor component repair. The Parts Technician will prepare, receive, order and export warehouse deliveries.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in receiving of products through unloading trucks, checking accuracy of deliveries and processing documentation.
- Assist in safe, accurate storage of inventory within warehouse.
- Assist in shipping of products through analysis of order information, pulling of inventory and processing shipments in accordance with customer expectations.
- Assist with facility, warehouse, and maintenance projects as requested.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Deliver and pick up materials from other office locations as needed.
- Test and repair electronic components.
- Assist in other duties as assigned.
Education
High school diploma or GED.
Qualifications and Experience
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Ability to operate standard warehouse equipment including forklifts.
- Experience with small electronic component repair.
- Experience with inventory software.
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
- Proficient in the use of electrical instruments (i.e., gauges, meters, etc.).
- Ability to read, write and use basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
- Ability to work within a team or independently as needed.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal customers, peers, managers, and across departments.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee works with equipment daily. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. The noise level in the work environment is low.
Physical Demands
The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential job functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands or arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Travel
Occasional travel within the state of Illinois is expected for this position.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Must be able to pass a background check with the Illinois Gaming Board and the Illinois Department of Professional Regulations which includes fingerprinting.
