Tow Truck Driver/Operator

Job Overview
Seeking a dedicated and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a some background in automotive repair and diagnostics, with the ability to operate a wrecker tow truck. This role requires a commitment to safety and customer service, as you will be responsible for assisting stranded motorists and transporting vehicles with care.

Responsibilities

• Operate tow truck to safely transport vehicles.
• Perform automotive diagnostics to assess vehicle conditions before towing.
• Load and unload vehicles efficiently without damaging.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients during stressful situations.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on tow trucks to ensure they are in safe working order.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to perform basic repairs or adjustments on-site when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of services provided and any incidents during towing operations.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Tow Truck Driver, Wheel lift or in a similar role within the automotive industry is preferred.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and experience with automotive repair and diagnostics.
• Ability to drive various types of vehicles, including those with manual transmissions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in various conditions.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential.
• Experience with wheel lift and dollies
