What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diesel Technician/Mechanic position at J&J Trash Inc?
Come join our team!! We have just constructed a brand new state-of-the-art 5 bay shop! All new amenities! No weekends! 50 hours per week.
We are searching for a qualified mechanic to add to our growing team! Our fleet is mostly 2019's and newer, and mainly consists of Kenworths, Macks, and Peterbilts. Rear Loaders, Side Loaders, Roll-Offs, and Front Loaders.
-Required:
- Must have at least 5 years diesel experience
- Must be able to use all diagnostic software.
- Must be proficient in DEF/regen systems
- Must have a valid drivers license and DOT medical card
- Must be able to pass a drug test
-Responsibilities:
- Maintenance on approx. 65 trucks. including, but not limited to tires, brakes, PM's, hydraulic hoses, lights, emissions issues, electrical issues, etc.
- Diagnosing and identifying defects on equipment
- Performing road calls when needed
- Tracking your daily work completed
- Working with the shop manager for scheduling and ordering parts needed.
- Assisting other mechanics and techs if needed.
