J.J. Nichting is looking for a proven Diesel Technician who knows their way around ag equipment and takes pride in keeping farmers moving when it matters most. What You’ll Do
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines on agricultural equipment
- Work on tractors, combines, harvesters, sprayers, loaders, and irrigation engines
- Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime during peak seasons
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, fuel, and drivetrain systems
- Use modern diagnostic tools and computerized engine software
- Communicate clearly with customers and supervisors about repairs and timelines
- Step up during planting and harvest when farmers need us most
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 years of hands-on diesel experience, or diesel degree plus field experience
- Technical training in diesel technology, agricultural mechanics or heavy equipment repair
- Confident working independently and solving problems in the shop and field
- Ability to read schematics, manuals, and service information
- Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus)
