Job Summary
Join our team for the Holidays We are looking for a part time seasonal Center Store Specialists to help ensure store profitability by keeping the Grocery, Frozen Food, and Dairy departments fully stocked with fresh products. They promote Mackenthun's Exceptional Experience through customer engagement, assisting with inquiries, and maintaining product displays.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management:
- Stock shelves, frozen food, and dairy cases; rotate and face products.
- Rotate products with first in first out (FIFO)
- Restock advertised items and displays efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness of shelves, cases, and displays.
- Understand ordering, pricing, and inventory control processes.
- Assist with events, promotions, and creative merchandising.
- Minimize product losses due to damage or expiration.
Customer Service:
- Provide excellent service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
- Gather customer feedback and identify product needs.
- Create promotional displays to drive sales and attract attention.
Collaboration:
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace; handle recycling and sanitation.
- Assist with training new team members.
Requirements:
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Minimum age of 16
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Basic math and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn about products and services.
- Positive attitude and focus on customer needs.
Desirable:
- Depending on age restrictions willing to learn to operate lift trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
Working Conditions, Physical Demands and Availability
- Seasonal work now through January 24, 2026
- 4-10 hours a week on average.
- Constant standing, walking, and physical activity (lifting, bending, reaching).
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and push/pull up to 2000 lbs with a pallet jack.
- Work in refrigerated and freezer environments.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals.
- Flexible schedule that may include daytime, evening and weekend hours. As well as some holidays depending on business needs.
