MARKETING ASSOCIATE for antiquarian bookseller specializing in MUSIC
Part-time, maximum 20 hours/week. Flexible hours
$20-25/hour depending upon experience
Position begins on-site at our Long Island home office; a hybrid schedule may be available at a later date
The Marketing Associate will help expand awareness of our business among collectors, librarians, scholars, musicians, and cultural institutions worldwide through digital marketing, content creation, and audience engagement.
Primary responsibilities
- Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns to broaden our audience and to increase website traffic and client inquiries
- Create and manage social media content
- Manage email marketing campaigns through Mailchimp
- Monitor website content and updates
Requirements
- Experience with Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp
- Basic analytics experience (Google Analytics, social media insights, email metrics)
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
Preferred
- Experience in marketing in a small retail business environment
- Interest in classical music and dance history
Desirable but not necessary
- Reading knowledge of German, French, or Italian
- Knowledge of the antiquarian book trade
About us
J & J Lubrano Music Antiquarians LLC, established in 1977, is located on the North Shore of Long Island, New York, approximately 50 minutes by train from Manhattan. We are dealers in classical music- and dance-related material dating from the 15th-21st centuries including rare printed music; autograph musical manuscripts; rare books on music and dance; and associated iconography and issue electronic catalogues regularly. Our clientele, both private and institutional, is international, and we have been dealing with many of them for over 40 years. We are long-standing members of the Antiquarian Booksellers’ Association of America (ABAA), the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB), and the Professional Autograph Dealers Association (PADA).
