Job Summary
We are seeking skilled and reliable Equipment Operators to join our grading and hauling teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of construction machinery and equipment safely and efficiently on-site. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation, maintenance, and safety procedures. The Equipment Operator will play a vital role in material handling, site preparation, and supporting overall grading and construction activities.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy construction machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, and excavators.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Handle materials using appropriate material handling equipment efficiently and safely.
- Assist in site preparation, grading, loading/unloading materials, and other construction-related tasks as required.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met while maintaining a safe work environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating construction machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes and excavators.
- Clearing and grading site experience is highly preferred.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience in commercial truck driving is desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance and hydraulics systems.
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions for extended periods.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
