Overview
We are seeking experienced Dywall Finishers and Hangars to join our construction team. This role involves working on residential, commercial, and renovation projects, requiring skilled craftsmanship in drywall installation, finishing, and related tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction site work, with proficiency in various tools and techniques essential for high-quality drywall finishing and hanging. Candidates should be reliable, safety-conscious, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Hang drywall sheets accurately according to project specifications and blueprints
- Finish drywall surfaces by taping, mudding, sanding, and applying textures to achieve smooth finishes
- Install metal stud framing or wood framing for drywall backing if needed.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely for cutting, fastening, and finishing drywall
- Read schematics and blueprints to ensure precise installation aligning with project plans
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Knowledge of construction estimating and blueprint reading is a plus
- Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and heavy equipment operation preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights if necessary
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and other construction equipment
- Strong understanding of building codes, schematics, and safety standards on construction sites
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions on different types of projects
- Valid driver’s license needed to get to work
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
