J&J Delivery, Inc. has both part-time and full-time OTR positions available. We are looking for responsible, energetic and positive people who have a clean driving record and enjoy the open road. Compensation is based on experience, driving record and position. Home on weekends.
OTR Driver Responsibilities
- Driving and Delivery: Transporting goods and materials safely to destination, navigating routes, and meeting tight schedules.
- Vehicle Inspection & Maintenance: Performing pre- and post-trip inspections for defects, checking oil, fuel, and tire pressure, and reporting mechanical issues to maintenance.
- Cargo Management: Loading, unloading, and securing cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Compliance & Documentation: Keeping logs of hours, distances, and fuel consumption in compliance with state/federal regulations (e.g., DOT regulations).
- Communication: Reporting traffic, accidents, or delays to dispatchers.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Licensing: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A or B).
- Experience: Proven work experience as a truck driver.
- Skills: Strong time management, knowledge of traffic laws, and familiarity with GPS/Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs).
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift heavy objects and sit for extended periods.
