Job Overview
I have a Mack Tri axle dump truck with a manual transmission. I am looking for a driver that can also pull a Pintle hitch trailer and move small equipment around. This is a full time position with overtime position.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a dump truck with trailer to move construction equipment & haul material from jobsite to jobsite
- Transport equipment and materials to various locations
- Load and unload construction equipment on trailer as needed
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on vehicles
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups
Skills:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL "A") with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with experience in specific types of trucks such as dump truck and lowboy.
- Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance procedures is a plus
- Ability to operate a skid steer or other equipment for loading truck or onto trailer a plus.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to ensure timely deliveries
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively

Duties
- Safely operate a variety of dump trucks, including front loader, rear loader, roll-off, and flatbed trucks, following all traffic laws and DOT regulations.
- Load and unload waste materials efficiently using mechanical knowledge of front-end loaders and other equipment.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure air brake systems, hydraulic components, and safety features are functioning properly.
- Drive assigned routes within municipal waste management schedules, adhering to state transportation regulations and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, route completion times, and vehicle maintenance reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups and address any service issues promptly.
- Follow hazardous materials regulations when handling special waste streams and ensure compliance with safety standards during all operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy-duty commercial trucks such as dump trucks, tractor-trailers, or roll-off trucks.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with air brake endorsement; experience with manual transmission preferred.
- Knowledge of traffic laws, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and hazard materials regulations applicable to waste hauling.
- Mechanical aptitude for basic troubleshooting and vehicle maintenance checks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong understanding of solid waste management practices and municipal waste protocols.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients and community members.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety protocol adherence and defensive driving techniques.
Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
