About the role
We're hiring Front Desk Agents across three Southaven hotels. You'll be the first person guests meet and the last one they see before they leave, and that makes you the single biggest influence on whether they come back.
This is a real hospitality job, not a desk job. You'll check guests in and out, solve problems on the spot, handle payments, and keep the front of the house running while the rest of the building takes care of itself. Shifts are 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m., or 11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m., including weekends and holidays.
What you'll do
- Check guests in and out efficiently, verifying identification and payment
- Answer the phone within three rings and handle reservations, questions, and requests
- Take ownership of guest complaints — resolve what you can, escalate what you can't, document everything
- Process payments, balance your cash drawer, and post charges accurately
- Enroll guests in Hilton Honors, Marriott Bonvoy, or IHG One Rewards
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance so rooms are ready when guests arrive
- Keep the lobby, breakfast area, and front desk clean and stocked
- Follow brand standards and hotel security procedures at all times
- Write clear shift notes so the next person starts informed
What we're looking for
- Genuine warmth with people — this can't be taught
- Ability to stay calm and think clearly when a guest is upset
- Comfortable on a computer and able to learn a property management system
- Accurate with money and details
- Reliable. Shift work only works if people show up
- Able to stand for an extended period and lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be 18 or older
- Weekend and holiday availability required
- Bilingual is a plus
- Hotel front desk experience is helpful but not required — we'll train the right person
