Role Description
This is an on-site full-time role for a General Contracting Estimator located in Menomonee Falls, WI. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for projects, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating with various departments and stakeholders. The Estimator will also participate in pre-construction meetings, negotiate with suppliers/subcontractors, and ensure that all project details are accurately reflected in estimates.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree, vocational training, certification from an accreditation organization, or combination of schooling and relevant work experience
• Valid Driver's License and ability to meet commercial insurance requirements
• 5 years experience estimating commercial construction; Public Bidding and Hard Bid experience PREFERRED
• Ability to lift, carry or hold 26-50 lbs. more than 10 times per day
• Ability to perform low posture, crouching, crawling, kneeling or squatting activities
• Ability to work occasional weekends, evenings and holidays
• Ability to clearly communicate with others and convey information effectively
• Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
• Ability to manage own time and the time of others
• Ability to motivate, develop and direct people
• Knowledge of commercial construction materials, means and methods, and equipment preferred
• Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and coordination of people and resources preferred
