Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles with manual transmissions across assigned routes.
- Load, secure, and unload freight such as refrigerated goods, hazardous materials, or heavy equipment using manual handling techniques and equipment like forklifts when necessary.
- Navigate using GPS systems to optimize routes while adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) standards.
- Comply with hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods, ensuring proper documentation and safety procedures are followed.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, inspections, and cargo details in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with safety standards.
- Load & unload cargo efficiently while managing logistics cargo handling processes for timely deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes or delivery updates, ensuring smooth operations.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving with various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or dump trucks.
- Familiarity with manual transmission trucks and truck driving best practices.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT requirements, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for transporting dangerous goods.
- Experience operating specialized equipment like forklifts or roll-off trucks is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to handle physical tasks involved in load & unload operations and manual handling of freight safely.
- Strong navigation skills using GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, compliance, and customer service excellence.

Pay: $6,882.15 - $9,470.98 per week
