Duties
- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets using tools like SQL, R, Python, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations with Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and other BI tools to communicate insights effectively to diverse audiences.
- Design and optimize databases utilizing Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and database design principles to support scalable data solutions.
- Collaborate within Agile teams to deliver projects on time by applying project management best practices and adhering to SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) standards.
- Conduct business analysis by understanding stakeholder needs and translating them into technical specifications for data solutions.
- Automate data workflows using VBA, Bash (Unix shell scripting), Talend, and other scripting languages to improve efficiency.
- Engage in business intelligence initiatives involving linked data integration, data modeling, and analytics to support strategic goals.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with SQL programming and database management in environments such as Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis skills with tools like R, Python, VBA, and ETL platforms such as Talend.
- Demonstrated ability to create compelling visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Knowledge of SDLC methodologies and Agile project management practices for delivering high-quality data solutions.
- Familiarity with database design principles and linked data concepts for effective data integration.
- Experience with analysis skills including business analysis techniques to interpret complex datasets into actionable insights.
- Working knowledge of Unix shell scripting (Bash) for automation tasks is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
