What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper position at J.H. Adams Inn?
The JH Adams Inn is seeking a dedicated and professional full time housekeeper to join our growing company. You will perform a variety of housekeeping duties including vacuuming, mopping, surface cleaning, dusting, and changing linen.
Attention to detail and experience with customer assistance and service are required. The right person is punctual, thorough but fast, and eager to learn.
Rate of Pay: $12-$17 / hour (piece rate) Mornings & Weekends, 30-40 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Change bed linen daily.
- Maintain health and safety standards.
- Vacuum carpeting, mopping, surface cleaning, dusting of guest rooms.
- Clean common areas around inn as needed.
- Skills:
- Detail-oriented and thorough.
- Ability to perform consistent work to the highest of standards.
- Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant, friendly way.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking and frequently pulling, pushing, and bending.
- Must be able to perform repetitive cleaning and folding moments for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in housekeeping or janitorial roles, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting
- Strong cleaning and floor care skills
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and maintain a welcoming environment
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and custodial management practices
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards

Pay: $12.00 - $17.00 per hour
