Position Description:
J&G Machine is looking for a quality control manager, who is diligent and experienced to ensure the products produced are of top-notch quality and meet or exceed customer standards. To be successful as a quality control manager, you must understand the customer's requirements and coordinate employee efforts between management and production.
Your prime goal is to help maintain our reputation by achieving a high level of customer satisfaction through a total commitment to continual improvement and our quality procedures.
Position Responsibilities:
- Understanding customer requirements to develop effectual quality control processes.
- Calibrating and maintaining inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, etc.). Familiarity with
GageTrak is a plus.
- Conducting an assessment of the company's production processes and curating in-house quality policies.
- Collaborating with quality personnel for the implementation of systems, procedures, and standards of operation.
- Conducting quality audits to ensure that the quality policies are being adhered to.
- Establishing procedures for sampling, recording and reporting data.
- Programming and setting up a CMM (PC-DMIS).
- Setting gages and applicable tools for job specific use.
- Creating process prints using Autodesk Fusion 360.
- Creating Quality plan inspection forms using Excel.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing environment.
- Use of basic measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, indicators and other similar tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015.
- Excellent math abilities.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as Fusion 360.
- Knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods.
- Read, analyze, understand and interpret GD&T, drawings and documentation.
- Certification in quality control will be a strong advantage.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree
- Excellent communication skills needed, both verbal and written.
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and solve practical problems; deal with a variety of concrete variables in standardized situations.

- While performing the duties of this job the employee is needed to stand, sit, walk, talk, see and hear
- Use hands to finger, handle and feel; reach with hands and arms.
- The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Specific vision includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and to adjust focus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
