Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor DGM & Goss offset web presses.
- Read and interpret detailed work orders to ensure accurate, timely production.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and maintain quality standards throughout the production process.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery, troubleshoot issues promptly using technical knowledge and maintenance manual guidelines.
- Handle materials efficiently using forklifts and other materials handling equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct quality control inspections during production runs to identify defects or deviations from specifications; document findings accurately.
- Collaborate with team members to set up, safely operate and complete high quality press runs. Support continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating manufacturing equipment like printing presses or similar machinery in a factory setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical workorders confidently.
- Familiarity with CAD software like SolidWorks or similar design tools is preferred.
- Ability to use precision measuring tools including calipers and micrometers accurately.
- Knowledge of tooling setup, fabrication techniques, safety processes, and materials handling procedures.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for maintaining quality standards.
- Prior factory or manufacturing facility experience demonstrating reliability in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklift equipment is advantageous.
