Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Press Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating printing presses, ensuring high-quality production output while maintaining safety and efficiency standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, familiarity with manufacturing equipment, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor DGM & Goss offset web presses.
  • Read and interpret detailed work orders to ensure accurate, timely production.
  • Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and maintain quality standards throughout the production process.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery, troubleshoot issues promptly using technical knowledge and maintenance manual guidelines.
  • Handle materials efficiently using forklifts and other materials handling equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Conduct quality control inspections during production runs to identify defects or deviations from specifications; document findings accurately.
  • Collaborate with team members to set up, safely operate and complete high quality press runs. Support continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating manufacturing equipment like printing presses or similar machinery in a factory setting.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical workorders confidently.
  • Familiarity with CAD software like SolidWorks or similar design tools is preferred.
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools including calipers and micrometers accurately.
  • Knowledge of tooling setup, fabrication techniques, safety processes, and materials handling procedures.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for maintaining quality standards.
  • Prior factory or manufacturing facility experience demonstrating reliability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklift equipment is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills; committed to safety and quality assurance standards. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.75 - $25.00 per hour
