Job Summary
The HVAC and Piping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC and piping systems on commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. This role ensures that all work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to project specifications, codes, and company standards. The supervisor will coordinate field crews, manage subcontractors, and act as the on-site point of contact for project stakeholders.

Job Summary
The HVAC and Piping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC and piping systems on commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. This role ensures that all work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to project specifications, codes, and company standards. The supervisor will coordinate field crews, manage subcontractors, and act as the on-site point of contact for project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of HVAC and piping crews on assigned job sites.
- Ensure installations comply with mechanical plans, specifications, and local code requirements.
- Plan and schedule manpower, equipment, and material needs in coordination with the project team.
- Provide technical guidance to field personnel and assist with problem-solving on-site.
- Conduct quality control inspections and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure smooth project execution.
- Maintain accurate project records, including time sheets, material deliveries, and daily progress reports.
- Participate in site meetings and communicate effectively with clients, inspectors, and other stakeholders.
- Train and mentor crew members, promoting skill development and safe work practices.
- Identify and address any issues that may impact schedule, budget, or project scope.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or apprenticeship in HVAC or pipefitting.
- Minimum 5–7 years of field experience in HVAC and piping, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, blueprint reading, and mechanical codes.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to manage multiple teams and priorities.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in using digital tools for documentation and communication (e.g., tablets, project management apps).
- OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Work is performed on active construction sites and may involve standing, climbing, lifting, and exposure to outdoor conditions.
- May require travel between job sites depending on project locations.
