Assignment Details
- ICU Float Pool Assignment Will float to the following ICU and step-down units based on facility needs:
- 8SCCT: Neuro
- 7SCCT: Respiratory failure, ventilator support, hemodynamic instability
- 6SCCT / 4SCCT: Acute MI with complications, hemodynamic instability
- 5SCCT: GU/GI bleeds, environmental injuries, various shock states, massive transfusion
- Transplant Float: Liver, Kidney, Pancreas, Heart/Lung (High acuity transplant patients)
- Float Requirement: Will float down to MS/Tele, PCU, Overflow PACU, and stepdown units when needed.
- ICU Bed Count: 24 beds per adult ICU
- RTO (Requested Time Off):
- Max 7 days allowed
- No RTO permitted within the first 2 weeks of assignment
- Must be available to work 3 out of 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day)
- Licensure: Active RN License
- Certifications (Required):
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIH Stroke Scale
- Certifications (Preferred):
- CCRN
- Skills (Required):
- Vents
- IV starts
- Intracranial Pressure (ICP) monitoring
- Telemetry
- Conscious sedation
- PA Line experience (Required - hard stop)
- Skills (Preferred):
- Level I Trauma experience
- Charge RN experience
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
- PA Line experience is mandatory and will be assessed during phone interview
- Large hospital experience required
- First-time travelers accepted with minimum 3 years total RN experience
- Flu Vaccination: Required (No exemptions)
- EKG Exam: Must be passed on the first day of orientation to continue contract
