What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Operator position at J&D Tube Benders?
J&D Tube Benders is a family business located in the Weston Industrial Park. J&D is a certified customer manufactures of tubes, tubing and tube assemblies. We are looking for 1st Shift CNC Machine Operators/Bend Technicians to join this locally owned, family business.
As Bend Technician, your job responsibilities will include:
- Set-up and operate CNC benders in a safe and efficient manner
- Produce required parts within established specifications and tolerances
- Inspect finished parts with precision measuring tools to ensure compliance with customer specifications and drawings
- Read and review customer prints, drawings and charts.
- Perform secondary operations while the CNC is running. This includes, but is not limited to re-cutting
- Perform basic and routine adjustments and machine maintenance.
- Support lean and continuous improvement
- May be required to perform other company duties and assist in other departments as requested
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certifications a plus.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating CNC's
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Full-time hours are Monday – Friday, 6:00 am – 3:30 pm. J&D can over some flexibility in scheduling.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
