Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Vehicle Upfitter based in Auburn, WA. The Vehicle Upfitter will be responsible for installing, modifying, and repairing equipment and components on vehicles. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting vehicle specifications, assembling and mounting various components, wiring electrical systems, troubleshooting installation issues, and performing quality checks. The candidate will work in close collaboration with the team to ensure each upfitting project meets high standards of precision and safety.
Qualifications
- Technical skills in basic mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, and the use of hand and power tools
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot vehicle systems and equipment installations
- Experience in vehicle upfitting, mechanical repair, or maintenance
- Knowledge of interpreting vehicle specifications, blueprints, and engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality inspections
- Physical ability to lift heavy components, work in varied environments, and ensure safe handling of equipment
- A safety-first mindset and adherence to workplace safety guidelines
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training or certifications in mechanics or automotive systems preferred
