What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Equipment Operator (Experienced) position at J D Pasquetti Engineering, LLC?
SUMMARY OF POSITION: Skilled heavy equipment operators with experience in grading and/or underground work. Mostly regional / local work within 50 miles of Lincoln, CA. Generally Monday - Friday. $30 - $65 hourly wage based on experience. Operators will operate some or all of the following equipment: backhoe, loader, roller, pad drum, compactor, excavator, dozer, grader, paver, sweeper, motor grader, water truck. Operators will perform some or all of the following tasks: cut grade and slopes, manage stockpiles, excavate dirt, rock, sand or other material, spread and level dirt, gravel or other material to grade specifications, shape and finish shoulders and slopes, perform fine or rough grading, paving and rolling.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma, general education degree (G.E.D.), related trade school education, or 2 years of related experience.
- Must demonstrate driving ability, excellent safety awareness, and a willingness to comply with company policies and safety standards.
- Effective communication with other operators, truck drivers, and crew is critical.
- Must have the ability to operate equipment with little or no supervision.
- Continuous mental and visual attention is necessary to safely and effectively complete work tasks.
- Project a positive and cooperative attitude by building and maintaining a courteous and professional relationship with co-workers, customers, inspectors, and the public.
- While on a jobsite, you must always wear proper attire including safety vest, safety glasses when appropriate, long pants, hard sole/close toed shoes, and reflect a clean and presentable image.
- Trustworthy and dependable, including regular and predictable attendance and punctuality required.
- Must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record to operate a company vehicle.
- Must provide proper documentation that you have the legal right to work in the United States.

WORKING CONDITIONS
- This job requires the ability to lift, pull, and push a minimum of 50 lbs., bend, stoop, kneel, reach, squat, twist, and climb heavy equipment several times throughout the day. In addition, you must have the ability to be on your feet regularly and use hands, arms, and legs repeatedly on the job. This includes frequently walking on sloped ground and slippery and uneven surfaces, as well as working in confined areas.

- This job requires the ability to see, whether naturally or with vision correction tools (glasses, contacts).
- This job requires the ability to perform essential job tasks in less than favorable job conditions. These may include but are not limited to: Performing strenuous work in varying temperatures, humidity, sand, wind, smoke, or other extreme inclement weather conditions for extended periods of time.
- Work may be performed in an environment with exposure to extremely hot materials, fuel, fumes, vapors, dust, grease, and oils, as well as loud and/or constant noise and exposure to moving equipment.
- Most jobs are within a 50 mile radius of Lincoln, CA.
- Most jobs are Monday – Friday, beginning at 7:00am with a 30-minute lunch. Depending on weather and workload, you may work up to 12 hours a day or 60 hours a week.
