Janitor/Cleaner

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. The ideal candidate will ensure that all areas are hygienic, well-organized, and presentable, supporting a clean and healthy environment for staff and visitors. Duties

• Perform routine cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Conduct specialized tasks such as floor buffing, polishing, and maintenance to ensure surfaces are in optimal condition.
• Handle custodial responsibilities including trash removal, dusting, window cleaning, and sanitizing high-touch surfaces.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues to maintenance teams.
• Support industrial or commercial cleaning projects as needed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and ensure equipment is properly maintained.
• Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment during all cleaning activities.

Experience

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience is preferred, especially in commercial or industrial settings.
• Experience with floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing is desirable.
• Knowledge of facilities maintenance tasks including basic repairs or painting is a plus.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, tools, and safety standards related to commercial or residential cleaning environments.
• Previous porter or custodial experience in large facilities or industrial settings will be considered an asset. This role requires reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment across our facilities.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.90 - $25.17 per hour
