Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet care to keep surfaces spotless and safe.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms by sanitizing fixtures, replenishing supplies, and ensuring hygiene standards are met.
• Dust and wipe down surfaces such as desks, countertops, windowsills, and fixtures to uphold a tidy environment.
• Empty trash receptacles regularly and dispose of waste in accordance with safety protocols.
• Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and report them promptly.
• Assist with light custodial tasks such as window washing, wall cleaning, and minor repairs when necessary.
• Use commercial cleaning equipment effectively, including vacuums, buffers, floor scrubbers, and industrial cleaning tools.
• Support facilities maintenance activities by performing basic repairs or coordinating with specialized technicians.
• Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and others.

Skills

• Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial work within commercial or industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, buffing, and carpet maintenance.
• Familiarity with custodial equipment such as vacuums, buffers, mops, and cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to perform detailed cleaning tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of hygiene.
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure all areas are thoroughly cleaned and maintained.
• Good physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
• Basic understanding of facilities maintenance procedures; experience with residential painting or industrial cleaning is a plus.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team with a positive attitude towards safety protocols.
