Responsibilities
- Operate large snow plowing equipment, including trucks, wheel loaders, snow blowers, shovels, and power tools to clear snow from various surfaces
- Apply salt or de-icing materials to prevent ice formation and ensure safe walking and driving conditions
- Monitor weather conditions regularly to anticipate snowfall and plan timely responses
- Perform routine inspections of outdoor areas to identify potential hazards or obstructions caused by snow or ice
- Maintain and perform basic repairs on snow removal equipment to ensure optimal operation
- Follow all safety protocols diligently while handling equipment and working in winter weather conditions
Requirements
- Prior outdoor work experience, especially in snow removal.
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating heavy snow removal equipment
- Strong adherence to safety protocols when operating machinery or working in potentially hazardous conditions
- Physical stamina for prolonged outdoor work in cold weather; ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual labor effectively
